It was a long time since I've blogged. Since the tough going in my NS Unit my spine has experienced problems and I've downgraded my status from PES A to PES C. However I still went for my reservist and contributed in terms of logistics and administration, and it wasn't anywhere less 'siong'. However, it made me 're-appreciate' being outside of army and having my civilian life. Luckily this time the camp was relatively near, it was just 10 minutes' drive from my house! Private Fadli had it even better, he lives right across the road, facing the camp!
After my reservist, and because I'd missed the chalet (13,14 &15 Nov) that the JWSS kids have booked, it seemed my God daughters initiated a steamboat dinner at my house to 'make up' for it (17th November - the day my reservist ends). I had made a video for them and I guess it really touched them and myself too. Many of them have kinda graduated this year and it'll not be easy for them to meet up again when their tertiary education starts. Here is the video itself.

It was really sweet of them. At this stage and point of time, these students of mine are most dedicated, sincere and genuinely honest. I must say one of the intangible aspects of teaching is reflected here. Even though some people may think the line is not drawn properly or some 'idiot' and asshole will say its not professional, I think teachers should be people-orientated and not the other way. Anyway, it was really fun that night and thank goodness my tenants are not around so we all had a great time. The following are some pictures of our fun. The girls did most of the cooking and the guys who helped are those who had F & N training. They kinda introduced me to PSP and I was hooked onto it for a substantial period of time, thus incurring the wrath of my most little 'Godaughter' Tinglei who really got very fierce with me. Oh, we finally have a 'Quan Jia Fu' with me and my 3 Godaughters inside. Haha.
